Creating the writing group I always wanted

writing gets done with a team, as much as in isolation...we get to choose

If I’d had other writers in my life that I could meet with regularly…I would have written more and better and I certainly would have published sooner.

Little Writing Truth: Writers know what we need, because we spend a lot of time lamenting its absence.

I knew I was going to craft a cyber-cowriting space on the web, but I wasn’t sure when. Every year I read the feedback given by members of my mastermind The Story House and nuggets like this jump out—

“I wasn’t far enough along in the process to know exactly what [it] was going to look like. To have the support of Patti alongside other people at the same point in the process was priceless. I knew I would get real-time feedback on my thoughts and my writing, while also getting inspiration and motivation from my fellow [writers].”

I’m proud to be introducing WRITERS ROOM, a container for all the things that writers in my group mastermind celebrate in ADDITION to the teaching, meeting writing goals, getting clear on their book’s why, and progress on their projects.

To get words on the page, we need the tap of creativity to be opened, and inspiration in droves, but let’s be frank here—the recipe for getting writing done, words on the page, chapters between the covers…has at least these ingredients too:

WRITERS ROOM is very reasonable priced membership that offers six meetings a month, one of which is a feature with an invited guest, a no-holds-barred Q and A with me, or a workshop. WRITERS ROOM’s first round of invites has gone out. For the first couple of months my current clients (they get it for free - BONUS!!), past and present 1:1 clients, prospective writers who I’ve met, and attendees in The Story House mastermind are invited. I may extend the invitation further in January.
