All your recommendations have piqued my interest. I'm a sucker for a black bird so that will likely be the first one I look into further. As a migraineur, I've spent much of my life avoiding scents as they can be a trigger. But I've lately been having a love affair with Scotch whisky - the nose is part of the joy and discovery! Thanks for sharing. As part of a book club I've been reading Middlemarch (I'm very behind) and plan to reread Frankenstein soon.
Hi there. Isn’t that cover just amazing. And the bird has a powerful role in the book.
This book made me long for scents and think about them differently. Oh the nose of Whisky… I tried to learn about during Covid isolation. Thanks for mentioning Middlemarch. I haven’t read it. But mean to, thank you!
Now that I know the bird is more than cover candy, I’m even more interested. :) I was in Scotland in the spring for a milestone birthday and was blessed to experience whisky not on the shelves in the states. Delish!
Morning, Patti! The hubby was the one who took notes on all the drams we tasted, but I remember some standout expressions from Ardbeg, Tomatin, and Bruichladdich that we haven’t seen on shelves or menus here.

Do name drop the Whisky's you discovered. Canada has a few treats on offer unavailable elsewhere too.
